Our Wellbeing Scan is designed to give you extra peace of mind by checking your baby’s growth, position, and general development as your pregnancy progresses.
It’s perfect if you’d like to see how your baby is doing between routine NHS appointments or simply want to enjoy another special bonding moment.
During your appointment, you’ll enjoy exclusive one-to-one time with our qualified sonographer, where you can ask any questions you like in a calm and friendly environment.
Nu Scan Ultrasound is the only sonographer-owned clinic in Mansfield, run by a UK-trained professional with experience in both the NHS and private hospitals providing trusted, expert care with a personal touch.

Preparing for your scan
Instructions:

Arrive with a comfortably full bladder (drink about 500ml of water 45–60 minutes before).

If we can’t complete the primary purpose of your scan (for example, due to your baby’s position or limited visibility), we’ll offer you a free rescan at the earliest convenient time.
What if you can’t complete the primary purpose of the scan?

Yes – Our sonographer is fully qualified, HCPC-registered professional with extensive NHS and private sector experience within hospitals such as Kingsmill, QMC, City Hospital Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln County Hospital.
Are your sonographers qualified?

Yes – ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive procedure with no known risks for adults or babies when used appropriately for medical purposes, as supported by the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) and the NHS.
Is ultrasound safe for adults and babies?

If your scan suggests a possible concern, our sonographer will explain the findings sensitively in line with our duty of candour. We’ll provide a detailed report, guide you on the next steps, and refer you to your GP or appropriate NHS service for further assessment and support.
What if my scan shows that there is something wrong, or I receive bad news?
